The Taliban Take Over, Afghans Flee!
It is crazy what is happening right now in Afghanistan! the Taliban have taken over Afghanistan and plan to rule the whole nation again which would mean suffering for innocent Afghans! My heart goes out to the citizens of Afghanistan! US troops are finally leaving Afghanistan after 2 decades of war. Taliban Rise to power "The Taliban, or "students" in the Pashto language, emerged in the early 1990s in northern Pakistan following the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. It is believed that the predominantly Pashtun movement first appeared in religious seminaries - mostly paid for by money from Saudi Arabia - which preached a hardline form of Sunni Islam." The Taliban have been responsible for destroying Afghanistan and citizens of their basic human rights especially those of women. Kabul Airport Shocking images of Afghan citizens flogging to board the US marine plane for freedom, videos of this event were too heartbreaking for me to upload. Unfortunately thousands of Afghans were unable to board the flight and will stay in their country to experience the terror of the Taliban. Striking image shows hundreds of Afghans crowded aboard evacuation flight! Watching these innocent civilians having to flee from their nation and leave everything behind and travel with nothing but the clothes on their backs has humbled me in so many ways! Several countries are planning to take on Afghans as refugees, countries such as UGANDA excepting at least 2,000 people. Uganda has the largest number of refugees in any country in Africa - and the third-largest in the world. Ugandas' largest refugee group came from the democratic republic of congo and South Sudan. I plan to create a fundraiser which I hope to run for the long term raising funds for Afghan people. https://donate.redcross.org.uk/appeal/afghanistan-crisis-appeal? https://www.unrefugees.org.uk/where-help-is-needed/afghanistan-situation/ https://www.refugeecouncil.org.uk/ https://www.amnesty.org.uk/ https://www.rescue.org/article/how-can-i-help-afghanistan https://globalcompactrefugees.org/article/afghanistan-refugee-situation
