I Did Not Travel In 2020!
I think it has been over 10 years since I have spent a whole year without travelling abroad. When the awful covid-19 pandemic first struck, I thought it would not last a few weeks, and now it seems it is here to stay. From January - December I have been stuck in the same environment which has been very difficult. I love experiencing new places there is no greater feeling. Wondering through unknown streets discovering new restaurants, venues. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, even central London has been closed down, for the most part, meaning that I have spent most of 2020 in my local town due to travel restrictions, restaurants, shops, bars closed down. Central London is the closet thing to travelling abroad because of its multicultural ways and diverse groups of people, however, my small town is the complete opposite everyone is from the same background. One of the things I miss most about travelling is meeting new people, at the moment I see the same people daily, there is no friendly interaction with my neighbours the way I interacted with my neighbours in Spain, Africa etc. leaving your environment can help you to adapt to different cultures, as well as learning about them, mixing with people from different backgrounds is so beneficial. Have you managed to travel through the pandemic?
