Should I become a Vegan?

FASTING has been one of the most amazing things I have accomplished in my life! 2020 has had

many milestones for me,although most importantly spiritually! In January I attempted the

Daniel fast,it was challenging,but very beneficial.

"Daniel fast The basic guidelines for the Daniel Fast includes eating only fruits, nuts

vegetables water only to drink, eliminate all meats, pastries, chips, breads, and fried food.

The Daniel fast is a power spiritual discipline."


Throughout the first week of fasting it was extremely tough, the weather temperatures had dropped, so I craved comfort food, plus everyone in work was eating nonstop. I ate fruit for breakfast as well as water nothing more throughout working day.

I made the mistake of not researching high protein plant-based foods beforehand, or meal prep (bad idea ). Throughout the day

I was so hungry OMG my belly rumbled constantly!



I use to rush home after work and binged on fruits,water until dinner time. The first week without meat I struggled, however by the 2nd week I was accustomed, plus I discovered tofu as well as other dishes that helped with my cravings. A plant based diet can be very expensive, inspite of this my health

is a priority. Honestly, after the fast, I felt and still do feel fantastic.

What I ate typically in a day :

BREAKFAST

  • Water lemon/Ginger

  • Fruits

LUNCH

  • Salad

  • And fruit,vegan yogurt

Snack Quinoa chips


DINNER

  • Home made chips, salad or Tofu and Veg

I think whether for spiritual reasons or not everyone should attempt 1 month on a plant based-diet

although not easy there will be many benefits.
